Julie Rothschild (1790-1815)

Julie Rothschild was born in Frankfurt in the house of the Grünes Schild on 1 May 1790. Her Hebrew name was Gutelche. Julie followed her sister Babette in marrying a member of the Beyfus family. On 22 August 1811 she married Babette's brother-in-law Meyer Levin Beyfus.

Julie died tragically young on 28 June 1815, in the same month that her brothers celebrated the victory of Wellington's troops at Waterloo.
