A Buckinghamshire story of 1663

Watson and Hazell (printer) Aylesbury 1875 112pp.

Constance (Connie) de Rothschild

Notes

Historical fiction: an imaginative and lively account of the English civil war as witnessed by the family of John and Patience Howe, saved from execution by the intervention of Nell Gwyn. The story was inspired by a portrait of Nell Gwyn at Tring where some of the narrative is set.
